CASology #240: FOLIAGE

Hello, friends!  It's time for our next cue card at CASology!

It's hard to focus on foliage around here when we are getting hit with another snow/sleet/rain storm!  What a crazy winter we have had here on the east coast of the USA...last week I didn't even need a jacket and my daffodils were blooming, then this week it is snowing and temps are below freezing.  What the what?

Anyway, I decided to add to my birthday card stash with two clean and simple cards using leaf die cuts from Cuttlebug paired with some fun green patterned papers.

I love this simplicity of this design...no coloring needed, since the patterned papers do all the work!

Since I'm playing with green and white on both cards, I'll be entering them into the current The Paper Players Color Challenge #335.

I can't wait to see how you interpret FOLIAGE this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!

Thanks for visiting,

  1. Two beautiful cards Judy - I'm a big fan of using negative space on a card and I love how you used your subtle green patterns to accentuate your leaves. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

  2. Darling cards Judy! The leaf cut outs letting s bit of pattern and color peek through are cute!

  3. Two very happy birthday cards, Judy! There's something 'right' about green and white together. Love the two different leaves you've chosen too. These are so sweet!!! Love them! Bev
P.S. We just got about a foot of Lake Effect snow.....ick!!

  4. Tow beautiful cards, Judy! Love your choice of papers and foliage on both cards...especially those charming tiny hearts, which are so sweet!

  5. Beautiful cards Judy ! What a clever idea to use the negative space and the patterns paper to design your cards ! Here too the daffodils are blooming and I can't imagine now to have snow ! Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.
